I found this book through Brene Brown – whose books you will find further down on this list. This is the story of Pixar Studios. Its a great read and very inspirational regarding creative business solutions.
This book discusses the art and evolution of the checklist. From Medicine to the airline industry, checklists permeate our lives and our work. How can a check list make your work flow safer, more productive, and prevent serious error and mistake?
This is another book I have both on Audible and in hard copy. The communication techniques discussed in this book are useful for a number of situations including talking to superiors and subordinates. This is a great book to help you have quality dialogue and discussion in high stakes situations.
Crucial Accountability is the follow up book to Crucial Conversations. In this book you will learn how to hold anyone accountable for broken promises and failure to live up to commitments. When your expectations have been violated, this is the book to turn to to learn how to deal with the problem that does not involve killing morale or your relationship with the person not living up to expectations. This book is a must read for anyone in a leadership role.
This book just popped up on my radar so I have not read it yet. Labeled as one of the 12 best business books of all time, this book addresses how to empower your team through training, qualifications, and abilities to start making critical decisions and thereby creating leaders.
